Relief Printing

This week the class experimented with a traditional printing method called Relief Printing. This is when the Artist creates an image with a textured 3D surface using various materials. The Artist then applies paint to the relief image, covering the entire surface. For the final step, the Artist places the painted relief image face down on to a piece of paper and applies some pressure. Once the relief image is removed  - there you have 

your print!
